As travelers we all have that special place that we don’t return to because we’re pretty sure that it just won’t be the same next time. Orchha is that place for me. This little medieval town, off of the tourist circuit (and tourist circus), with its tranquility and honesty, helped me get my head together during a cross point in my life. And there was the added benefit of it being an exceptionally intriguing place: ancient buildings, glassy rivers, dusty streets and friendly people.

These images were taken with a film camera, then the images were scanned after the negatives had been lost. (The end quality will reflect that a bit.) Also, some of these images (am not exactly sure which ones anymore) were taken by Linda, a fellow traveler I had hung-out with there.

More on Orchha please.
